In January 2015, Maureen Gilmer, reporter for the Indy Star covered a story about a man who would not go into shelter during frigid weather because there was not a place for his beloved dog, Oreo.  The story went viral reaching across the country. Additionally, the Huffington Post covered it as well as local TV stations Fox 59 & WISH TV.
