Your Guide to #GivingTuesday
What is #GivingTuesday? It is a globally recognized day to ‘give back’ following the consumerism of Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. It takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. In this case, that day is Tuesday, November 29th. On #GivingTuesday show support for non-profits like Horizon House. Here are a couple ways to do that:
1. Make a Donation to Horizon House

Did you know that a donation of $25 can give a neighbor the opportunity to go through Job Readiness Training class so they can obtain employment and their self-sufficiency? Please donate so all neighbors have the chance to secure a new future. You can donate by texting “GiveHH” to 24700 or CLICK HERE to donate on our website.
2. Take an #unselfie

Write on a card why you support Horizon House with the #GivingTuesday hashtag. Then take a selfie and post it on social media. It’s called an #unselfie because you’re taking the photo to show support for an organization.
3. Attend the #GivingTuesday Breakfast Presented by Eli Lilly and Company

The Breakfast takes place on #GivingTuesday, November 29th at the Lilly Corporate Headquarters at 893 S. Delaware. Registration and breakfast start at 7:30am and the program starts at 8:00am. Please join us to hear more about homelessness and how Horizon House helps neighbors find a path out of homelessness. Terri Stacy from WIBC will emcee the event and serve as Moderator for a Panel Discussion. Panelists include Melissa Burgess, Street Outreach Coordinator; Brad York, RN, Eskenazi Health Pedigo; Phil Smiley, Officer with IMPD Homeless Unit; Arthur Butler a former neighbor who sought services at Horizon House and Dr. Scott Sheehan, Horizon House Board Member.
